Smart packing lists
Holdall is a personalized packing-list app that helps you check packing off your list — from weekend getaways to international trips. Built for Travel Bulletin, a Launch Potato brand, on the design system I created in Figma.

Why I built it
Personal: two trips, two packing logics (family San Diego / work SF).
Professional: a free tool that redirects people to Travel Bulletin for a specific action; could be gated behind email collection.

UX Flow

From email capture → profile defaults → trip builder → checklist → history — optimized for utility.

Built on the Travel Bulletin design system

Departure-board motif on TB foundations: split-flap mark, Geist Mono, dotted-leader rows — boarding pass × checklist.

Before: Guidelines interpreted by Figma Make

After: Figma mocks on real TB components (not Make guesses) → Cursor to match and achieve system fidelity through prompts.

User Tasks & Flows

Edge cases that mattered: carry-on-only, always-pack items, trip length vs activity load.

Prompting Process

Through a sequence of prompts to ingest the design system and refine the site interaction. With DESIGN.md in the project, every build prompt pointed at that file. I worked in passes: scaffold the flow → generate screens → critique against the system → tighten. The prompts below are representative of analysis, principles, and page generation.

The packing payoff is a personalized, checkable list on demo data.

Toward a v2

Next: replace seeded lists with OpenRouter-generated content (destination, weather, dates, activities) and deep-link destination-matched Travel Bulletin stories alongside the packing lists.
